Aditya Chopra's 'Dhoom' franchise 'to extend to 5 films'

The action-romance franchise is expected to star Salman Khan in the fourth production, claims Mumbai Mirror.
"Salman Khan wanted to work in a stylish action film, and Adi had discussed the possibility of Dhoom 4 with him. Salman had agreed. That's how they ended up working on Ek Tha Tiger. The script of Dhoom 4 is already locked. The final draft is in process," said a source.
The fifth and final movie in the series will allegedly star Shah Rukh Khan in the main role.
"Adi has his hands full with Yash Chopra's directorial at the moment. Adi wants to end the Dhoom. franchise with its fifth part. The plans for the last two parts are currently being kept under wraps," added the source.
Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra are confirmed as the only actors in the series to reprise their roles in each of the five segments.
Previous Hindi film stars to feature in the Yash Raj Films project include John Abraham, Rimi Sen, Esha Deol, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan and Bipasha Basu.
Dhoom 3, starring Aamir Khan, is currently in pre-production.
