Esha Deol marries Bharat Takhtani in traditional ceremony - video

Esha Deol has tied the knot with Bharat Takhtani in a traditional South Indian wedding at a temple in Mumbai.

Parents of the bride, actors Hema Malini and Dharmendra, greeted their new son-in-law at the temple entrance, NDTV Movies reports.



Malini said: "The marriage went very good. There is a slight change in the rituals, otherwise all Hindu rituals are the same. She found the right person and is going to be in Mumbai only so I am happy. We have completed the wedding on time."

The 30-year-old Dhoom star wore a red and gold Kanjivaram sari from Chennai with alterations by designer Neeta Lulla.

The guest list included celebrity friends of the Deols such as Amitabh Bachchan, son Abhishek, Manoj Kumar and Vyjayanthimala.

Veteran actor Kumar, who made a rare public appearance for the occasion, told the waiting reporters: "I have come here as a family friend and to bless the couple."

Deol's half-brothers Sunny and Bobby Deol were reportedly absent from the wedding ceremony but are expected to attend the reception.
