The actor is reportedly about to sign up for a film with Jism director Mahesh Bhatt.
He told DNA India: "A little amount of titillation is necessary for the audience. It's not like we haven't been exposed to films like that, so this isn't a big deal. This genre has been very well defined by the Bhatts since the past couple of years."
He continued: "I have been offered the film and I do like the script, but it is still a work in progress. There won't be anything earth-shattering in it. We will make the film, keeping in mind the audiences' sensibilities. If people want to only get titillated, then this genre won't ever work."
In January, Mukesh was dropped from gangster thriller Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 2 and replaced by Irrfan Khan.
The actor claimed that he was chased by lions during the shoot for his upcoming Shortcut Romeo in February.
