Christine Bleakley

Christine Bleakley began her career at BBC Northern Ireland, but it was through her presenting role on BBC magazine programme The One Show that she made her name. Her sparkling chemistry with co-host Adrien Chiles charmed viewers, but ultimately put her in a difficult spot when her colleague defected to ITV. Torn between her loyalty to the BBC and her friendship with Chiles, Bleakley's future became the subject of intense speculation and scrutiny, until it was confirmed in July 2010 that she would be joining Chiles on ITV's new morning show Daybreak. However, with the format attracting large amounts of criticism and under-performing in the ratings, commentators have again begun to question Bleakley's next move. As well as finding success as a presenter, Bleakley has also appeared in the 2008 series of Strictly Come Dancing and water-skied across the English Channel for Sport Relief. She has been dating England footballer Frank Lampard since October 2009.
