'Order of the Stick' Kickstarter tops $1 million

The Kickstarter campaign for The Order of the Stick has received over $1 million in pledges.
14,057 people have donated $1,173,015 (£740,269) to the campaign with 9 hours left.
The campaign was launched in order to raise enough money to reprint the collections of Rich Burlew's hit webcomic.
The initial target was set at $57,750 (£36,449), with only the most recently released volume planned for reprint. Pledges have exceeded the original target by a factor of 20.
Burlew has said that the extra money will be put into an "operating fund" for Giant in the Playground, the website which hosts The Order of the Stick.

The month-long campaign was approaching the $1 million mark on the weekend, and exceeded it with only days to go.
The Order of the Stick is a satirical webcomic following the adventures of a Dungeons & Dragons-style group of adventurers.
War and XP is the original title planned for reprinting. Supporters that have pledged over $10 (£6.31) will receive the exclusive PDF story How the Paladin Got His Scar.
The series launched in 2003 and is currently on its 838th instalment.
