Dial H will receive a fill-in issue from guest artist David Lapham.
The Stray Bullets creator will join writer China Miéville on issue #6 of the second-wave New 52 title.
The comic revives the Dial H for Hero concept, with Nelson Jent as a down-on-his-luck man who discovers a mysterious telephone dial that can transform him into a superhero.
DC Comics described the issue on The Source as a "stand-alone story where Nelson is stuck inside his house after he dials up a politically incorrect hero and Manteau reveals some of her forbidden and dangerous guises in the Refusenik Dossier".
Lapham said: "Dial H is one of those offbeat comic concepts like The Creeper or Doom Patrol or Metal Men that every artist and comics lover digs and secretly wants to draw.
"It's a crazy trip into your imagination, and I can't wait to dig into China Miéville's offbeat and very funny script and do it justice."
Dial H #6 will be released on November 7.
