Doctor Who and Star Trek: The Next Generation's comic book crossover has allegedly appointed a creative team.
Bleeding Cool understands that the IDW Publishing series will be titled Assimilation, and feature Scott and David Tipton on writing duties, with artwork by J.K. Woodward.
Star Trek's Borg and Doctor Who's Cybermen will serve as the story's villains, though no specific plot details have surfaced. Leaked artwork previously confirmed that The Doctor's companions Rory and Amy will also appear in the comic.

Woodward is best known for his work on Fallen Angel, while the Tiptons have prior experience writing in IDW's Star Trek universe. The pair also penned issues of the publisher's Infestation crossover event.
Star Trek has crossed over with other comic properties on several occasions, including a joint venture with DC Comics' Legion of Super-Heroes. Doctor Who has never crossed over with another property in mainstream comics.
IDW Publishing is yet to officially unveil the Doctor Who/Star Trek crossover.
