The game set a new record for the company's day-one Xbox Live Arcade sales, 45% higher than the firm's previous best-selling title. An exact sales number was not given.
From Dust was directed by Another World creator Eric Chahi, offering a unique perspective on the classic god-sim genre. Players move sand, water and lava to manipulate the environment and guide tribesmen to safety.
A PC version of the game was originally planned to launch alongside the Xbox Live Arcade release, but was recently delayed to August 17.
