The DLC was listed briefly on the Xbox Marketplace website today (February 21), but has since been taken down.
'From Ashes' will give players access to a new Prothean squad member, who was not named in the listed description. New missions may also be part of the DLC, as the description said players will "unearth lost secrets from the past." It is priced at 800 MS Points ($10 / £6).
The DLC's existence was discovered earlier this month when a customer was able to pre-order it through retailer GameStop.
Though it was called 'From Dust' at the time, a GameStop employee confirmed to Digital Spy that the DLC pre-order name was listed as 'From Ashes' in their computers.
Bioware has since responded to the leaked marketplace listing, confirming that 'From Ashes' will be available when Mass Effect 3 launches in March.
The DLC will also be a part of the Collector's Edition of Mass Effect 3, which was said to include an additional downloadable mission and character.
Mass Effect 3 will be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC from March 6 in North America and March 9 in Europe.
