It will be available in Europe on July 28 and North America on August 19 for around £180 / $250.
Nintendo has since confirmed that a Circle Pad Pro XL will also be available for the device.
The 3DS's next big release, New Super Mario Bros. 2, will be available on August 17 in Europe and August 19 in North America.
