Gametrailers editor Shane Satterfield said that he heard the news via "certain channels", despite Nintendo's refusal to confirm price and dates for the console.

Nintendo has promised a cheaper price point for the Wii U, claiming to have learned from the mistakes made with the 3DS.
It is believed that the break-even price of the console is 30,000 yen, which works out at roughly £240 / $370.
Amazon Germany previously listed the console for a December 21 release, costing €399 - approximately £322/$506 - although it has since lowered the price.
The UK site, meanwhile, was forced to apologise to customers after it prematurely priced the console at £199.
The console has also been rumoured for a November release, through both Ubisoft at the E3 Gaming Expo and a leaked Black Ops 2 listing.
