Anne Hathaway has signed up to the cast of Burr Steers's romantic comedy The Fiancé.
The Warner Bros movie revolves around a woman who splits up from her perfect fiancé after experiencing a personal crisis. Her insistent parents then attempt to mend the pair's relationship.
Tropic Thunder writer Etan Cohen is refining the script.
Hathaway will segue into Fiancé once she completes work on the Get Smart sequel.
Steers, who made his directorial debut with 2002's Igby Goes Down, recently completed filming on the Matthew Perry/Zac Efron comedy 17 Again.
