Watchmen star Matthew Goode has spoken out in favour of DC Comics' upcoming prequel series.
The actor, who played Ozymandias in Zack Snyder's adaptation of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons's graphic novel, told Digital Spy that he is "excited" about Before Watchmen.

"Who knows what will happen with that. It's not Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons doing it, but they've got some of the best," he said.
"I'm quite excited to see what they come up with. Everyone else's character gets a bigger chunk of backstory. I'd like to know what was going on. See if I was right about some of the choices I make."
Before Watchmen will consist of seven miniseries, featuring work from high-profile creators including Brian Azzarello, Lee Bermejo, JG Jones and J Michael Straczynski.
DC's decision to greenlight the series has been met with a mixed reaction across the comics industry. Moore slammed the project calling it "absolutely shameless", while Gibbons offered his blessing.
Before Watchmen will debut this summer.
