Michael Fassbender joins Ridley Scott project 'The Counselor'

The Shame actor will collaborate with director Ridley Scott on a second project following this June's Prometheus, according to Deadline.
It was previously reported that Fassbender was in negotiations to join the film.
Penned by Cormac McCarthy, The Counselor will see the 34-year-old play a lawyer who gets involved in the drug business. Scott is currently hoping to begin shooting on May 1.
The website also reports that a number of actors are being considered for the role of the villain, including Jeremy Renner, Bradley Cooper and even Brad Pitt.
Fassbender is also developing a movie about mythological figure Cúchulainn with Ronan Bennett.
Prometheus will open on June 8 in the US and on June 1 in the UK.
