James Bond 'Skyfall': Sam Mendes releases new video blog: Watch

James Bond director Sam Mendes has released his first short video blog from the set of Skyfall.
Principal photography is currently under way on the movie, which sees Daniel Craig returning in the role of the iconic spy.
Mendes revealed in a 90-second clip: "The roots of my doing this Bond movie start way before anybody approached me because, like everyone else, I have my own personal relationship with Bond which began when I was, I suppose, about 9 or 10 years old. So, you know, I've always been a fan of the movies."

The director added that he was "genuinely blown away" by Casino Royale, saying that Craig's portrayal of Bond as "a real man in a real situation" gave him the same feeling as watching Sean Connery's take on the character.
Mendes also revealed that it is the first time he has shot a movie in the UK, adding: "I feel like the American years were my apprenticeship for doing a Bond movie!"
Skyfall, which also stars Ralph Fiennes, Javier Bardem, Bérénice Marlohe, Naomie Harris and Ben Whishaw, is released in cinemas on October 26.
