The as-yet-untitled project stars Pearce alongside Amy Ryan and Like Crazy actress Felicity Jones. Jones plays an exchange student who comes to stay with Pearce and Ryan's married couple.

"I think it will be really quite extraordinary," Pearce told The Playlist. "He's really a classic filmmaker. Like Crazy was wonderful, and I think this goes to a whole other level.
"It's a really tense, tense story about an inappropriate relationship between a young student and a school teacher. I'm really looking forward to seeing that, I think it'll be great."
Doremus employs the same semi-improvisational technique here that he used on breakout Sundance hit Like Crazy, with actors given a treatment to work from rather than a set script.
Mackenzie Davis, Kyle MacLachlan and Hugo Becker also star in the film, which is now in post-production and set for release later this year.
