Methuselah has hired a new writer to rework its script.
Warner Bros has appointed Arash Amel to overhaul Woman in Black director James Watkins's original draft, Variety reports.
Methuselah - inspired by the biblical figure - is an action-adventure following a 1,000-year-old man who has acquired an extraordinary set of survival skills.
Amel will begin work on the project once he has completed his script for the Will Smith-starring sequel I Am Legend 2, which is being fast-tracked into development by producer Akiva Goldsman.
Harry Potter's David Heyman, who once employed Watkins as a development executive, is attached to produce Methuselah.
Methuselah is yet to be assigned a release date.
