The actor explained that Magic Mike would have been far less fun to shoot if Matthew McConaughey and Channing Tatum had not been involved.
"I think what's great about the guys in this movie specifically - and I think if you had a different group of guys you probably would have got a different feel, it would have been a different movie - this particular group of guys that's been assembled for Magic Mike, they're all the 'sexy guys' from their corners of the universe. But nobody takes themselves that seriously at all, whether it's Channing Tatum, Matthew McConaughey, Matt Bomer, Alex Pettyfer, Kevin Nash, Adam Rodriguez, me, whoever," Flicks and Bits reports Manganiello as saying.
"There's a real sense of humour to [the movie], both situationally and I think internally. Everybody's really funny in it, I think."
Manganiello previously expressed his belief that McConaughey deserves an Oscar nomination for his role as a strip club owner in Magic Mike.
Magic Mike is now playing in the US and opens on July 11 in the UK.
