Robert Pattinson: 'I'd lick 50 Shades of Grey pages'

Robert Pattinson has joked that he would "lick" best-selling erotic novel Fifty Shades of Grey.

Speaking at the Comic-Con panel for Breaking Dawn - Part 2, the actor offered up a surreal response when asked by MTV if he had read EL James's book.



''I would just sit there and lick the pages. What, are we live on?'' he said.

Twilight's Kristen Stewart added that it "would be disgusting" to read the story in a book club with her co-stars Pattinson and Taylor Lautner.

James, whose Fifty Shades novel originated as Twilight fan fiction, recently admitted that Pattinson or Stewart are unlikely to have roles in the big-screen adaptation.

"I think it would be too strange! It would just be... weird!" the New York Post quotes her as saying.

The author added that she has "four people in mind" for the Fifty Shades movie but can't discuss who they are.

The Fifty Shades of Grey movie will be produced by Moneyball and Social Network duo Mike De Luca and Dana Brunetti, it was announced earlier this week.
