Jon Favreau joins Leonardo DiCaprio in Scorsese's Wolf of Wall Street

Jon Favreau has joined the cast of Martin Scorsese's upcoming drama The Wolf of Wall Street.

The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio as a New York stockbroker who gets caught up in the hedonistic and corrupt inner workings of Wall Street.

Jonah Hill (Moneyball), Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead) and Academy Award winner Jean Dujardin (The Artist) will also star in the movie.

Deadline reports that Favreau will play a securities lawyer in the drama, which is based on the memoir by Jordan Belfort.

The Iron Man director is tipped to direct a film version of the Broadway musical Jersey Boys later this year.

The Wolf of Wall Street is scheduled for release in 2013.
