The first trailer for Stolen, an action thriller starring Nicolas Cage, has been released online.
In the film, Cage plays Will Montgomery, a master thief whose daughter is held hostage by an old underworld associate. He is forced to pull off a daring heist in order to raise a $10 million ransom to free his kidnapped daughter.
The clip sees Cage as Montgomery breaking into a vault before being arrested and imprisoned. After serving his sentence, he is reunited with his estranged daughter and her mother, before receiving a phone call demanding he pay the ex-partner his share of a stolen fortune.
When Cage refuses, the caller hints that he has Montgomery's daughter, who is revealed to be trapped in the back of a stolen cab.
The film was directed by Simon West, who worked with Cage on Con Air and has enjoyed success with his most recent release The Expendables 2.
Stolen also stars Malin Akerman (Watchmen) and Josh Lucas (Poseidon). It is due to be released in the US on September 14, with a UK date yet to be announced.
