The online retailer is offering the standard digital edition of the album at the reduced price for one day only in a move that will likely escalate sales of the already highly-anticipated sophomore record.
The tracks can then be stored in the recently unveiled Amazon Cloud Player, where users are able to access their music from any web-connected desktop, laptop or portable Android device.
In the UK, Amazon has reduced the digital format of the LP to £3.99 as part of its regular album of the week deal.
Lady GaGa took to Twitter earlier today, telling fans that she would "cry" for an hour upon the album's release.
