Alexandra Burke's second album has reportedly had its release pushed back until the start of 2012.
The 2008 X Factor champion began working on her sophomore collection last November. She previously told Digital Spy that the new LP will "be a lot sexier and a lot more fun" than her debut.
According to The Sun, Burke will now release the album several months later than originally scheduled, at the beginning of next year.
The change has apparently been made to avoid clashes with albums from fellow X Factor alumni including Matt Cardle, Cher Lloyd, One Direction and Leona Lewis.
Speaking on a fan UStream over the weekend, Burke confirmed that a new single would be sent to radio next month.
The 22-year-old singer released her number one debut album Overcome in November 2009. The album and a subsequent deluxe edition, released last year, has spawned six top 20 hits.
Burke's new album will reportedly be released on an unconfirmed joint deal between Syco and RCA Records.
