Mylo Xyloto, the band's fifth studio LP, is released on October 24 on Parlophone Records.
The record, which was produced by Markus Dravs, Daniel Green and Rik Simpson, will be released in digital, CD and vinyl formats.
A pop-up edition will also be available, containing graffiti pop-up art designed by David A Carter and exclusive photographs and excerpts from the group's studio diary.
The "reversible" cover art - which appears below - was revealed today on Coldplay's official website. Half of the CDs will be printed with the full artwork, with the remaining half packaged with the silver artwork; a flipped version of the original booklet reveals the initials "M X".
Coldplay have also revealed the title of their new single, 'Paradise', which will be released to radio and available to download on September 12.
Mylo Xyloto follows 2008's Vivia La Vida, which topped the album charts in 36 countries and sold over nine million copies.
