Inspiral Carpets will support Happy Mondays on their upcoming May tour.

The Mondays this week officially confirmed a reunion with their full original lineup for an 11-date tour this spring.

Organisers have confirmed that Inspiral Carpets will now support their fellow Manchester band on the UK jaunt.

The full Happy Mondays tour dates are as follows:

May 3 - Newcastle O2 Academy
May 4 - Glasgow O2 Academy
May 5 - Manchester Arena
May 6 - Sheffield O2 Academy
May 9 - Bournemouth O2 Academy
May 10 - London O2 Academy Brixton
May 11 London O2 Academy Brixton
May 12 - Birmingham O2 Academy
May 15 - Dublin Olympia
May 17 - Leeds O2 Academy
May 18 - Nottingham Rock City

Inspiral Carpets last year announced a comeback with their first frontman Stephen Holt.

They later announced a brand new single and full UK tour for March 2012.
