Digital Spy has teamed up with Music Dealers to offer one reader the chance to win a pair of tickets to an exclusive invite-only event to celebrate the start of the Olympic Games. The event will see The Special Ks open for Jessie J and will take place on Saturday, August 4 at the Roundhouse in London.
The Special Ks are the newest act to emerge from Brighton, famous for producing bands including The Kooks and, most recently, Rizzle Kicks. The Special Ks' music was heard last year in national TV programmes including E4s Made in Chelsea and MTV's Punk'd, and this year they collaborated with international brands including Coca-Cola and MTV on further music placements and event appearances.
Contrary to popular belief, the five-strong group, described as a 'glorious electronic pop band', were not named after the famous cereal; instead the name was inspired by the lead singer's surname, Howard Kaye. The Special Ks are also made up of four other vital ingredients - Darren, Mat, Al and Gan - who together create a strong electro-pop sound which sits perfectly with current music tastes and trends. You can follow them on Twitter here.
