The Brit Awards 2012 - Who should win?

The nominees for this year's Brit Awards were announced last month, and as ever there was a mixture of predictable choices (Ed Sheeran, Adele), surprises (Fiest, Kate Bush) and the alarming omissions (i.e Katy B and Will Young!).

But who deserves to pick up a prize this year? Ahead tonight's ceremony, Digital Spy gives its predictions.

Noel Gallagher - WINNER!
Professor Green

We'd have chosen James Blake if this award was solely based on music, but Noel just tips it for us as he's the best all-rounder. His debut solo effort topped the charts last year and, crucially, it was infinitely better than his brother's.

In ten years from now, 2011 in music will be referred to as "the year of Adele".

British Breakthrough Act

Given she's already won the Critics' Choice prize, we're not sure what Emeli Sandé is doing in there, but the obvious winner here is Jessie J. With her debut album approaching the million sales mark, a number one hit (soon to be two with 'Domino') and already making tracks in the US, she's certainly earned it.
