But who deserves to pick up a prize this year? Ahead tonight's ceremony, Digital Spy gives its predictions.

Ed Sheeran
James Blake
James Morrison
Noel Gallagher - WINNER!
Professor Green
We'd have chosen James Blake if this award was solely based on music, but Noel just tips it for us as he's the best all-rounder. His debut solo effort topped the charts last year and, crucially, it was infinitely better than his brother's.

Adele - WINNER!
Florence + the Machine
Jessie J
Kate Bush
Laura Marling
In ten years from now, 2011 in music will be referred to as "the year of Adele".

Anna Calvi
Ed Sheeran
Emeli Sandé
Jessie J - WINNER!
The Vaccines
Given she's already won the Critics' Choice prize, we're not sure what Emeli Sandé is doing in there, but the obvious winner here is Jessie J. With her debut album approaching the million sales mark, a number one hit (soon to be two with 'Domino') and already making tracks in the US, she's certainly earned it.
Arctic Monkeys
Chase & Status
Coldplay - WINNER!
Elbow
Kasabian
By "group" we'll assume they mean "indie", and in our opinion Coldplay should have this one in the bag - hopefully giving them their seventh Brit.

Adele: 'Someone Like You'
Ed Sheeran: 'The A Team'
Example: 'Changed The Way You Kiss Me' - WINNER!
Jessie J feat B.o.B: 'Price Tag'
JLS feat Dev: 'She Makes Me Wanna'
Military Wives and Gareth Malone: 'Wherever You Are'
Olly Murs feat Rizzle Kicks: 'Heart Skips A Beat'
One Direction: 'What Makes You Beautiful'
Pixie Lott: 'All About Tonight'
The Wanted: 'Glad You Came'
If only this category wasn't based purely on sales.

Adele: 21 - WINNER!
Coldplay: Mylo Xyloto
Ed Sheeran: +
Florence + the Machine: Ceremonials
PJ Harvey: Let England Shake
An obvious winner we're sure you'll agree, but a great one nonetheless.

Aloe Blacc
Bon Iver
Bruno Mars - WINNER!
David Guetta
Ryan Adams
Let's be honest, it's the best of a dodgy bunch.

Beyoncé
Bjork
Feist
Lady GaGa
Rihanna - WINNER!
For her continued effort to churn out as much quality music, videos and tours as possible, Rihanna deserves the prize this year.

Fleet Foxes
Foo Fighters
Jay-Z and Kanye West - WINNER!
Lady Antebellum
Maroon 5
We've just given Watch The Throne another spin and it's even better than we remembered.

Aloe Blacc
Bon Iver
Foster The People
Lana Del Rey
Nicki Minaj - WINNER!
We almost disqualified her on the grounds that her debut Pink Friday came out back in 2010, but she's easily the most deserving of the lot.
British Producer
Paul Epworth - WINNER!
Flood
Ethan Johns
Last year he produced albums for Adele, Friendly Fires and Florence + the Machine. Not a bad year by anyone's standards.
