Geoffrey Boycott caused hysterics in the BBC Radio 5 Live studio last night (July 17).

The legendary cricketer and commentator was speaking to Mark Chapman and Michael Vaughan on the station's Tuffers and Vaughan Cricket Show.

With the interview going over time by just under a minute, Boycott abruptly ended the conversation by declaring he was going to watch his favourite TV show.

After making a serious point about cricket sportsmanship, he suddenly said: "That's all I've got to say, I'm going to watch CSI, thank you very much!"

The announcement was met with laughter by Chapman and his guests, before they realised he had already hung up the phone.

Chapman joked: "He's literally gone! When Geoffrey's booked for half an hour, he's booked for half an hour!"
