The sportsmen and women are said to have left the Olympic village in London in order to seek asylum in the UK or elsewhere in Europe, according to Reuters.
They reportedly have visas that will allow them to stay in the UK until November.
The group consists of five boxers, reserve women's goalkeeper Drusille Ngako and swimmer Paul Edingue Ekane.
"What began as rumour has finally turned out to be true," Team Cameroon mission head David Ojong said in a letter sent to the Cameroonian sports ministry.
"Seven Cameroonian athletes who participated at the 2012 London Olympic Games have disappeared from the Olympic Village."
Ngako first disappeared while her football teammates went to Coventry for their last game against New Zealand.
She was later followed by Ekane and five boxers who were already eliminated from the Games.
Thomas Essomba, Christian Donfack Adjoufack, Abdon Mewoli, Blaise Yepmou Mendouo and Serge Ambomo all disappeared on Sunday from the Olympic village.
The 15-year-old Ethiopian torchbearer Natnael Yemane also disappeared from a Nottingham hotel in June.
