Best held on suspicion of indecent assault

George Best has been arrested on suspicion of indecently assaulting a girl under the age of 13.

"We have received an allegation of indecent assault against a 59-year-old man who was arrested on June 9," a spokesperson for Surrey Police said in a statement. "The allegations concern a girl under the age of 13, and the incident is said to have taken place in May."

The BBC reports that Best was bailed after the arrest.

Last Thursday, Best was arrested by Surrey Police over an allegation of assault on a friend of his ex, Gina Devivo.
