Whitney Houston has enrolled in a rehabilitation programme for drug and alcohol treatment, it has been revealed.
The 47-year-old singer is believed to have checked herself into an out-patients programme last weekend.
Her rep told People: "Whitney Houston is currently in an out-patient rehab programme for drug and alcohol treatment. Whitney voluntarily entered the programme to support her long-standing recovery process."
TMZ had originally reported news of Houston's stay at rehab.
The singer has undergone two previous rehab stints in 2005 and 2006 for an alleged addiction to crack cocaine.
The news comes only a month after the singer's 17 year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina was forced to deny the validity of photos that appeared to show her snorting cocaine, insisting she had been set up by an ex-boyfriend.
