Margera has spoken out about the passing of Dunn and Zachary Hartwell in a drink driving accident last month.
Margera apparently told friends at New York City nightclub GunBar last week that he felt a tattoo was the perfect way to "commemorate Dunn", according to the New York Post's Page Six.
Margera reportedly met with the on-site tattoo artists and returned the next morning to have Dunn's name inserted into a pre-existing tattoo of a heart, which is situated on his wrist.
Dunn was a member of Margera's CKY skateboarding crew prior to the premiere of Jackass in 2000 and the two later starred in the 2004 film Haggard: The Movie, as well as the reality series Viva La Bam.
Last week, fellow Jackass stuntman Steve-O admitted that he cannot defend the circumstances surrounding Dunn's death in a drink driving crash.
