Justin Timberlake's Marine Corps Ball date Corporal Kelsey De Santis has said the pair had a "great time" together.
De Santis invited the 'Cry Me A River' star to attend her Marine Corps Ball through a YouTube video earlier this year, and he later said that he was "flattered" by her invitation and would be happy to attend.
The ball took place last weekend.
Speaking to Ann Curry on NBC's Today this morning, Corporal De Santis said: "It was wonderful, it was a really good experience. He had a big smile on his face and so did I.
"The sweetest moment was definitely right after the ceremony ended and being able to see his face as well as everybody else's... He had a smile on his face and you could see he genuinely cared about what he saw."
She added: "It was a good time. We were on the dance floor and having a good time at the table joking and laughing."
Timberlake took to his official website after the event to tell fans that attending the ball had "changed [his] life".
"[It was] so vivid and real. So honest, but so filled with a sense of compassion and adoration for this wonderful country," he wrote.
"I've met so many of my heroes... from Michael Jordan to Michael Jackson. And nothing makes me feel more honour and pride than when I get to meet one of you. Last night changed my life and I will never forget it."
Curry also asked De Santis if she had any advice for Sergeant Scott Moore, who is scheduled to attend his own Marine Corps Ball with Timberlake's Friends With Benefits co-star Mila Kunis on Friday.
"I don't think he needs it!" replied De Santis. "With the video he came out with he seems confident. He'll have a great time just like I did."
