Kim Cattrall has revealed that she plans to star in more stage plays than movies or television shows in the future.
Cattrall said that she has reached an age where she's routinely offered compelling roles in the theatre, while challenging film roles come less often.
"The theatre, for me, especially now, is where the best parts are," the actress declared to The AP.
Cattrall expressed pride in her Sex and the City character Samantha Jones, but also admitted that playing the sexpot has limited the types of roles she is presented.
"I love Samantha but I don't think the writing could surpass what we were given on a weekly basis. And secondly, I feel like I did it to the best of my ability," she explained. "To revisit it outside the actual creative team, I don't think would be that satisfying for me."
Last week, Cattrall revealed that she's heard "very little" about a possible third Sex and the City film .
She is currently starring in Broadway's Private Lives at the Music Box Theatre.
