Houston was found dead at LA's Beverly Hilton hotel over the weekend, prompting an outpouring of remembrances from celebrities including Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj.
An autopsy was completed yesterday afternoon, but the results have been placed on a security hold as Houston's death is investigated. LA Deputy Coroner Ed Winter declined to comment on whether any prescription or illegal drugs were found in Houston's room following her passing.
The Talk host Osbourne mourned Houston in a series of Twitter posts on Sunday (February 12), where she compared the 'Run To You' singer's death to those of Michael Jackson and Amy Winehouse.
"Amy Winehouse, Michael Jackson and now Whitney Houston. We're all hypocrites [because] we're all guilty of mocking them while they were alive," Osbourne tweeted.
"It always takes for them to die before we shower them with praise and adulation. They were addicts and there are many addicts still alive. Don't mock them, just help them."
Sharon's husband Ozzy Osbourne has been open about his own addiction battles in the past and recently got sober with the help of son Jack Osbourne.
Houston's life and legacy were honoured at the Grammy Awards on Sunday in a special performance of 'I Will Always Love You' by Jennifer Hudson.
The singer was 48 years old at the time of her death.
