Justin Bieber teased about new tattoo by David Letterman - video

David Letterman teased Justin Bieber about his latest tattoo during the teen star's appearance on Thursday (June 21)'s Late Show.

Bieber revealed to Letterman that he had the word 'Believe' tattooed on his left arm this week in honour of his newly-released studio album of the same name.

Letterman good-naturedly teased Bieber about his tattoos and urged the 'Boyfriend' singer not to make his body look "like the Sistine Chapel".

"I'm not going for the Sixteenth Chapel," Bieber replied, incorrectly naming the historic religious venue.

Letterman and members of the audience chuckled, before the host quipped: "Canadian high school."

Bieber's appearance on The Late Show came as part of a week-long promotional tour for Believe, which saw him also saw him guest on Today and feature in a two-night documentary special on NBC.

Earlier today, it was reported that Bieber could collaborate with One Direction on the boyband's next studio album.
