Frenchie Davis has revealed that she is in a same-sex relationship.
Davis previously competed in American Idol and the debut season of The Voice, in which she was chosen by mentor Christina Aguilera to be part of her team.
"I wasn't out before the relationship, but I wasn't in," Davis shared to St. Louis Post Dispatch.
"I dated men and women, though lesbians weren't feeling the bisexual thing. Now I'm in love with a woman I think I can be with forever."
The singer also talked about the support she gets from the gay community as she calls them her "most loyal fanbase".
Davis added: "I love the gay boys. They have that awesome, masculine energy, but there's also something else going on as well."
She is set to release her upcoming debut album with a new dance single titled 'Love's Got a Hold on Me', which is a contrast from the R&B sound fans might expect from her.
"I owe The Voice for figuring out what my sound is," Davis explained. "Christina had me signing dance pop. That's something I initially would not have chosen, but it took off."
