The former couple, who confirmed their decision to split on June 29, said that they are "committed to working together as parents" to 6-year-old daughter Suri.

Following a number of stories citing Cruise's devotion to Scientology as a factor in the break-up, the statement also made clear that the actors have "respect" for each other's beliefs.
"We are committed to working together as parents to accomplish what is in our daughter Suri's best interests," they said.
"We want to keep matters affecting our family private and express our respect for each other's commitment to each of our respective beliefs and support each other's roles as parents."
It has been said that Cruise and Holmes are currently negotiating a divorce settlement in order to avoid bringing the case to court.
However, Holmes is still alleged to be "dead set" on keeping full custody of Suri.
