Katie Holmes: 'I feel sexier now'

Katie Holmes has revealed that she is only beginning to feel sexy as she gets older.

In an interview given shortly before her split from husband Tom Cruise, the 33-year-old revealed that she often "felt like a little girl" but has undergone a transformation recently which has given her a new sense of self-confidence.



"I always felt like a little girl before... I didn't even know what sexy was," Holmes explained to Elle.

"[But] anytime you feel good about yourself, you embody sexiness. It's almost like a power or a confidence or a secret."

Speaking of her newfound sense of self, she continued: "I definitely feel much more comfortable in my own skin. I feel sexier. I think in my 20s - it's like you're trying too hard to figure everything out... I'm starting to come into my own. It's like a new phase."

Holmes has apparently won primary custody of 5-year-old daughter Suri as part of her divorce settlement from Cruise.
