Amy Wyatt will come face to face with her long-lost mother in this evening's edition of Emmerdale.

The Geordie teenager, who was brought up in foster care, is punched by a woman in a nightclub for sharing a kiss with her boyfriend.

That woman turns out to be Amy's mum, who instantly regrets her actions and chases her down the street to hand over her phone number.

Amy (Chelsea Halfpenny), who was celebrating her birthday, is left riled by the shock encounter.

After kissing a guy on her birthday night out, Amy is stunned as she is punched by the guy's girlfriend... who turns out to be Amy's mum!
