Emmerdale, meanwhile, attracted 5.28m (26.6%) at the slightly earlier time of 6.45pm as Ashley pawned a number of his possessions. 181k (0.8%) caught up an hour later on +1.
Hollyoaks interested 779k (4.0%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 as Brendan and Walker's storyline took a surprising turn, while E4's first look appealed to 481k (2.4%) at 7pm.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours grabbed 625k (9.1%) at 1.45pm and 921k (6.1%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away managed 641k (3.6%) at 6pm and 436k (2.3%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
Elsewhere, the latest episode of Doctors - titled 'Back Inside' - was seen by 1.43m (21.0%) at 1.45pm on BBC One.
