The Walford soap brought 7.37m (33.8%) to BBC One at 8pm with an hour-long episode which saw Michael and Jean's twisted feud escalate ahead of the big day. Later, 797k (4.5%) watched BBC Three's repeat screening at 10pm.
Coronation Street, meanwhile, attracted 7.19m (36.5%) at 7.30pm on ITV1 as Karl was forced to explain himself, while 282k (1.2%) caught up an hour later on +1.
Emmerdale entertained 6.04m (33.6%) at 7pm as Alicia agreed to go ahead with the sham wedding, adding 256k (1.2%) on timeshift.
Hollyoaks appealed to 868k (5.2%) at 6.30pm on Channel 4 and 162k (0.8%) on +1, while E4's first look was seen by 565k (3.1%) at 7pm.
Over on Channel 5, Neighbours secured 652k (10.9%) at 1.45pm and 851k (6.5%) at 5.30pm, while Home and Away managed 669k (4.4%) at 6pm and 455k (2.7%) for 5*'s first look at 6.30pm.
