The handset will be powered by Google's Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and bear a similar form factor to Motorola's Droid RAZR.
Motorola's Atrix HD boasts a 4.5-inch HD Colorboost 720x1280 display, with a 1.5GHz dual-core CPU and 1GB of RAM under the hood. It also features an 8-megapixel camera on the rear and 8GB of internal storage (expandable to 32GB).
The device measures in at 8.4mm thick, and sports a robust build incorporating the same Gorilla Glass and Kevlar design as its predecessors in the Atrix line.
Google completed a full acquisition of Motorola Mobility in May in a bid to bolster its patents library and ward off lawsuits from rival companies such as Apple.
A release date and price for the Motorola Atrix HD is yet to be announced.
