The 17-year-old actress, who plays Effy Stonem on the E4 teen drama, said that her character "loses it completely" at one point.
"Effy always go through these intense periods in her life, I've realised. This year she goes into a very deep, dark place. She goes on a cool journey in her own mind and loses it completely and needs help.
"It's surprising who does help her and who she does become close to."
She added that she thinks the decision to axe the cast on the show is "brave" and "keeps it fresh".
