London 2012 Olympics: Today's must-watch TV guide (August 2)

We promised you a Gold Rush yesterday and thanks to Bradley Wiggins and our rowers, Team GB delivered. Expect more British success today as we head to the Velodrome for the first time and we reach gold medal time in the Canoe Slalom and Men's Shooting.

Sir Chris Hoy and Victoria Pendleton enter the Velodrome















Bradley Wiggins delivered gold on the road yesterday and today we enter the Velodrome for the first time at London 2012, meaning Team GB flag-bearer Sir Chris Hoy and the ever-popular Victoria Pendleton can join the party. Expect mad-crazy pedalling and (fingers crossed) more gold for GB. Catch it all from 4pm on BBC One and after at 6pm on BBC Two.

Phelps v Lochte



Michael Phelps may have secured a spot in history at London 2012 by breaking the all-time Olympic medal haul, however, he hasn't had it all his own way in the Aquatic Centre. US star Ryan Lochte has proved that he's more than just a pretty face and washboard stomach, and the pair will resume battle in the 200m Medley final tonight. All the swimming action kicks off at 7pm on BBC One.

It's Wimbledon, but not as we know it



Much like the football, it has been tough to get into the tennis during the early stages of the Games because they have felt very much like sub-standard versions of Euro 2012 and Wimbledon. But with extra-colour, music and fanfare down on Centre Court, fans are quickly warming to the more laidback and less stuffy approach to tennis. With Andy Murray still in with a shout at the Quarter-Final stage today, expect the crowds to be in particularly boisterous mood. Watch a choice of matches between 11.30am and 8.10pm on BBC Olympics 21, BBC Olympics 3 and BBC Olympics 4.

Best of the Rest
It's not the easiest sport to get into, but the double trap shooting provides a genuine medal chance for Richard Faulds and Team GB and you'll struggle to find an event with more tension. Watch it on BBC One from 3pm.

We've no idea what the rules are or what's going on, but we quite fancy giving it a go - it's the water polo! Check out the men's preliminaries on BBC Olympics 17 from 9.50am and Team GB taking on the USA on BBC Olympics 12 at 6.20pm.
