The 'Best Behaviour' singer argued that her rap star cousin, who is alleged to have been banned from assisting her at the Judges' Houses stage, would be a "funny" and loveable addition to the ITV1 contest.
"I want him as a mentor for one of the groups," she told The Mirror. "He will be so funny, out of control. I really want him involved.
"I don't know if it will happen but it's something I am fighting for. I think all the contestants will love him."
Contostavlos went on to identify Take That singer Gary Barlow as her biggest "competition" on the refreshed X Factor panel.
"Gary is my biggest competition," she said. "Especially when it comes to speaking his mind. I thought I was bad, but Gary is the shocker. He is harsh. If they are s**t he will tell you.
"He just amazes me with what he comes out with. With me it's Tulisa being Tulisa. Curbing Gary will be hard."
Contostavlos and Barlow are joined by new judge Kelly Rowland and show veteran Louis Walsh on the new series of The X Factor. The first trailer showing all four together was released on Friday.
