The former winner of the talent show, who replaced a sick Kelly Rowland for the Halloween special, is still mocked by some fans for her "OK dot com" ad lib, and was called "bloody awful" by Declan Donnelly.
However, speaking to Fabulous, she said: "That's showbiz, and I don't regret it for a second. I don't care what Gary [Barlow] said afterwards - during the show he was telling me I was being brilliant.
"And Louis [Walsh] was egging me on to keep going. I was being put on a seat next to Gary Barlow for God's sake. He's hot. I told him I fancied him."
Meanwhile, speaking of the trouble she had with public criticism earlier in her career, the 2008 X Factor champion added: "I was totally obsessed. I would only take notice of the bad things. I'd browse forums and look at these awful things that were written.
"But you have to grow a thick skin if you want to survive in this business. Saying that, I've had to deal with a lot of stuff this year. It's been a learning curve - I've had to prove myself to a new record company. Some things didn't turn out how I wanted them, but I guess I don't have a right to moan."
