Scherzinger was officially confirmed for The X Factor's ninth series on Friday (June 15) following a successful stint as a guest judge in London.
"I'm so excited to join the UK X Factor family," she said after her hiring.
"It's where I got my start, so it feels great to come full circle. I can't wait to see what talent the UK has to offer and to help inspire and bring out the best in these artists."
Scherzinger, who replaces Kelly Rowland, also served as a guest judge during the 2010 series and was partly responsible for the formation of One Direction.
The 'Don't Hold Your Breath' singer went on to join the panel for The X Factor USA's first season last year, but left the show in January along with Paula Abdul.
Scherzinger's new X Factor deal is believed to be in the region of £750,000.
Geri Halliwell, Rita Ora, Leona Lewis, Mel B and Anastacia also helped judge the first round of filmed auditions for this series.
