'The X Factor' second live show - in pictures

After last week's explosive opener, The X Factor's second live show began on a calmer note, as Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh kissed and made up - quite apt, considering the theme of the week was Love and Heartbreak...

The 12 remaining contestants, however, did cause dissent in the ranks, with some blasted as cheesy, cabaret and boring. Others managed to wow despite having a tough week, and... well, Rylan was just Rylan. With added pandas.
