'Top Model' Elle Macpherson: 'New judges are opinionated, worldly'

Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model judge Elle Macpherson has promised that the show will "be bigger and better than ever before".

The famed supermodel praised the new judging line-up of herself, Tyson Beckford, Whitney Port and Julien Macdonald for boosting the Sky Living contest in its eighth series, which began this week.

Speaking from Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai - the location for this year's first photo shoot - Macpherson said: "There's quite a lot of interesting chemistry between the judges this year because we all have very different personalities.

"Tyson... is like the original male supermodel. He's also very opinionated... you can't get a word in edgeways, so that's interesting and I love him for it."

She continued: "Whitney has such a cool perspective on things. She's kind, she's elegant, she's graceful and she's also very worldly."

The panel previously told Digital Spy that this year they are looking for a contestant who has "the model X Factor".

"All women are beautiful, but a model to me is someone who can represent and wear clothes in a certain way that can make everything pop and stand out," Port explained.

"They have something unique about them that only a camera can capture."

Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model continues Monday nights at 9pm on Sky Living.
